Be Organised On The Day
Here's A Quick Guide:
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of class & take advantage of facilities such as the changing room
- Wear sweat friendly clothing, because things do get HOT!
- Remember your water bottle. Where possible please bring a reusable bottle to reduce plastic pollution
- Where comfortable trainers.
Set Your Own Personal Goals
In any beginners dance class, you'll expect to find people with all types of backgrounds and abilities. The key here is not to compare yourself to others in the class, although I’ll admit it is hard not to do initially, but give it a try.
What I find helps is to set some realistic goals for yourself personally. Whether that’s to be able to perform the routine at the end, to meet someone new or even to record a video of yourself dancing. Set goals that you can look forward to, and put in your best effort during each class!
